The cricket teams worldwide are gearing up for the ODI World Cup 2023, scheduled to commence on October 5, and are set to engage in two warm-up matches each to fine-tune their strategies. With the ten participating teams arriving in India for the cricket extravaganza, the warm-up games will serve as a crucial preparatory phase, allowing the teams to adapt to local conditions and strategize for the tournament. New Zealand, England, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Australia, Afghanistan and South Africa earned the automatic spots after finishing in the top eight of the 13-team ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, although India would have made the tournament anyway as competition hosts.

Cricket World Cup Warm-up Matches Schedule

The warm-up games are set to kick off on Friday, September 29, and will conclude on Tuesday, October 3. All 10 One Day International (ODI) matches are scheduled as day-night fixtures with a starting time of 2 PM IST.

These 10 World Cup warm-up matches are distributed across three venues as outlined below:

  • Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati
  • Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram
